Opportunity for Technician in Rabies Vaccine Development at Rabian B.V. in an international research collaboration
We are currently seeking research technicians to join our team and be part of our research that has
the potential to revolutionize the state of the art in rabies vaccines. This project is part of an
international consortium with various other biotech companies and research institutes, funded by a
European grant project.
We are looking for technicians to help with our Rabies vaccine development. As a virology research
technician in our international lab, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art
techniques with world-leading scientists and clinicians.
This is a rare opportunity to make a significant contribution to the field of vaccinology. After
development of symptoms, rabies is invertedly fatal. Our research has the potential to make rabies
prevention more accessible through an innovative new vaccine manufacturing platform. Our emphasis
is on translation and impact, making our work close to the patient and people in need. We have an
opening for a Technician Virology. To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree with experience in Virology, Molecular Biology, and/or Immunology
- Experience with: RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase PCR), Immunofluorescence Assay (IFA), Virus
Neutralization Test (VNT), and Cell Culture. At least 2 years of experience in a BSL-2 lab,
working with Class 2 pathogens. Experience with BSL-3 is an extra asset for us. - An eagle eye for detail and a brain wired for complex data analysis.
- Organizational and communication skills.
Your role involves leading cell culture work with cell lines and primary cells in viral studies, analysing
outcomes to extract valuable data. In molecular biology, you will use tools like PCR and gene cloning
for precision and innovation. Your expertise in serology with ELISA and related assays will improve
diagnostics and therapeutic interventions. Your analytical skills will transform complex data into clear
narratives, contributing to scientific understanding and knowledge sharing. Additionally, as the
guardian of our BSL-3 lab, you will uphold the highest biosafety and biosecurity standards.
